Experience the exceptional richness of La Gran Señora Reposado, a 750ml bottle of tequila that exemplifies the perfect balance of tradition and innovation. Crafted meticulously, this reposado tequila offers a truly elevated drinking experience.

La Gran Señora Reposado is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, carefully cultivated at altitudes exceeding 7,000 feet. The agave hearts undergo a meticulous process, beginning with slow cooking in brick ovens to extract their full flavor potential. Next, a roller mill is employed to crush the cooked agave, ensuring optimal juice extraction. The juice then ferments in open stainless steel tanks, allowing for the development of complex flavors.

The essence of the agave is refined and captured through double distillation in stainless steel pot stills. The resulting tequila is rested for six months in American white oak barrels, allowing it to mature and develop a distinctive character.

Tasting Notes

  • La Gran Señora Reposado entices the senses with alluring aromas of vanilla, imparted by the oak barrel aging process.
  • These captivating aromatics pave the way for a smooth and robust flavor profile, with notes of vanilla that persist throughout each sip.

This reposado tequila lends itself exceptionally well to crafting heavier cocktails. It provides the perfect foundation for classic concoctions such as old-fashioned tequila, allowing the nuanced flavors of the tequila to shine through. Additionally, it harmonizes beautifully with a Mexican mule's zesty and spiced elements and complements the smoky profiles of more complex margaritas.

Indulge in the refined and captivating character of La Gran Señora Reposado. Perfectly suited for savoring neatness or as the centerpiece of your favorite cocktails, this tequila embodies quality and craftsmanship, offering a truly memorable drinking experience.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
