Collection: Añejo (Aged)

Añejo translates to aged or matured tequila. The aging is done in oak barrels, or French oak,  for a minimum of 1 year and a day and up to 35 months. The longer the juice remains in the barrel the more complex the tequila becomes.  Tastes of anise, vanilla, cinnamon, agave, and smoke become more prevalent in the juice when rested longer in the barrels. Extra Añejos grew into popularity in the mid  2000's and have become the hottest thing in the spirits world.
