Amarás Logia Tepeztate is a unique and high-quality distilled mezcal that offers a well-balanced combination of citrus, fruit, and herbal flavors.

Tasting Notes

  • UNIQUE AGAVE: From the Sierra Madre Occidental of Oaxaca comes Mezcal Amarás Logia Tepeztate, a 25-year-old wild agave with large rosettes and green-yellowish leaves, which can reach a height of up to 2 meters.

  • ON THE NOSE: Intense herbal aromas, like freshly cut grass and oregano. Ultimately, it has a slight hint of raw agave notes, with flashes of citrus from the freshly cut lemon and lime peel.

  • PALATE: Predominantly fruity green pear and peach notes, ending with light touches of green chili.

  • FINISH: Notes of bittersweet fruits and herbal touches.

  • AMARÁS PHILOSOPHY: Each bottle is made using sustainable and natural methods, aware of our direct correlation with nature. For this reason, Mezcal Amarás is committed to making the world a better place, connecting and inspiring through love.

This mezcal is even more special because it is handcrafted using 25-year-old wild A. marmorata agave. Using such a high-quality ingredient ensures that the final product is of the utmost quality. Additionally, the mezcal is aged for over 13 months in glass demijohns or carboys, which helps to neutralize any astringent components and enhance the natural flavor of the agave.

Amarás Logia Tepeztate is a limited edition product, so it is a rare and special treat for those lucky enough to try it. However, this product is worth considering if you're looking for a unique and flavorful mezcal that will impress.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
