This artisanal mezcal is an award-winning spirit created in the small towns of Tlacolula and Miahuatlán in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The mezcal is made using carefully selected Espadín and Cuishe agaves harvested and cooked in traditional cone-shaped wood ovens. 400 Rabbits were collectively called "Centzon-touching" in Nahuatl. The number 400 was synonymous with “innumerable” and “uncountable.” It is believed that the spirit of the 400 rabbits carries on to this day in each bottle of this fine mezcal.
