HUMANO Añejo

A Symphony of Smoothness and Spice

Indulge in the exquisite depth of HUMANO Añejo, a testament to time and craftsmanship. This carefully aged spirit (40% ABV) is presented in a 750ml bottle and unfolds on the palate with rich layers of flavor, each note harmoniously balanced for a truly exceptional experience.

Crafted with matured Blue Weber Agave sourced from the Highlands of Jalisco, the agave is cooked in autoclave and traditional brick ovens before being milled using a roller mill. The fermentation occurs in closed stainless steel tanks, utilizing water from a deep well.

Tasting Notes:

  • Initial Impressions: A velvety smooth entry leads with prominent notes of white oak, imparting a subtle yet foundational richness.
  • Mid-Palate: As the spirit evolves, warm and inviting flavors of sweet vanilla and luscious caramel emerge, creating a comforting and decadent core.
  • Spice and Warmth: A delicate touch of cinnamon adds a gentle spice, providing complexity and intrigue without overpowering the sweeter notes.
  • Finish: The experience culminates in a remarkably long-lasting finish, where the nuanced flavors linger, leaving a satisfying warmth and a lasting impression of quality.

The distinct character of HUMANO Añejo is further enhanced through a double-barrel aging process. This master blend matures for 12 months in new American Oak and ex-Bourbon barrels, imparting a unique depth and complexity to the final spirit.

HUMANO Añejo is perfect for savoring neat, on the rocks, or as the foundation for sophisticated cocktails. Experience the art of slow sipping with this exceptional aged spirit.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
