The Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo is a historic milestone in the spirits world, recognized as the world's first extra-añejo tequila. Originally reserved exclusively for the Cuervo family's private enjoyment, this ultra-premium expression is crafted using hand-selected, fully matured blue agaves.
After distillation, the tequila is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for a minimum of three years, resulting in a remarkably sophisticated spirit. Each bottle is presented in a limited-edition wooden artist box, individually designed and crafted by renowned Mexico-based artists, making every release a true collector's piece.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: A rich and inviting aromatic profile featuring deep layers of toasted oak, sweet Madagascar vanilla, warm baking spices, and roasted almonds, balanced by subtle undertones of cooked agave and dried fruit.
- Palate: Velvety, robust, and exceptionally complex. The palate delivers a decadent fusion of creamy vanilla, toasted nuts, rich oak tannin, and sweet cinnamon spice, supported by a warm, lingering core of caramel and agave.
