Crafted at Destilería Cascahuín under the watchful eye of distiller Salvador Rosales Torres, Tequila General Gorostieta Blanco represents lowland agave distillation at its absolute finest. Sourced entirely from mature estate-grown Weber Blue agaves in the Tequila Valley, this expression is cooked in traditional brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill, and fermented naturally in open-air stainless steel tanks before undergoing double distillation in small copper pot stills.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Pungent and vibrant, leading with freshly harvested cooked agave, damp white pepper, wet river stone, and a bright kick of lime zest, underpinned by a subtle herbal undertone of sweet basil and green olive.
- Palate: Viscous and warming on the entry, delivering an immediate wave of sweet, concentrated agave syrup, minerality, and earthy roasted roots, quickly balanced by zesty citrus peel, jalapeño stem, and a clean, saline edge.
