Riqueza Artesanal Añejo Tequila:

A Masterpiece of Earth and Art

Riqueza Artesanal Añejo is a liquid canvas where centuries of Mexican tradition meet modern artistic innovation. Born in the sun-drenched highlands of Jalisco, this tequila is not merely a spirit; it is a collectible testament to the soul of Mexico. The experience begins with the eyes.

Each bottle features a striking hand-painted, bottle-within-a-bottle design, ensuring that your personal decanter is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Inside, the deep amber liquid tells a story of patience, having been aged to perfection to achieve a sophisticated balance of cooked agave and toasted oak.

Tasting Notes

Riqueza Artesanal Añejo is designed for slow sipping, revealing layers of complexity as it breathes.

  • Appearance: Rich, luminous amber with heavy copper highlights and slow, silky legs.
  • Aroma: An inviting bouquet of warm vanilla, butterscotch, and toasted almonds, underscored by the earthy scent of slow-roasted agave and a hint of dried orange peel.
  • Palate: Velvety and full-bodied. Initial notes of dark chocolate and cooked honey give way to sophisticated layers of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of smoky oak.
  • Finish: Exceptionally smooth and lingering, leaving a trail of caramelized nuts and a whisper of black pepper that warms the throat.

The Craftsmanship

  • Origin: 100% Blue Weber Agave from the heart of Jalisco. The Vessel: Individually hand-painted ceramic artistry; no two bottles are identical.
  • The Experience: Perfect for the discerning collector or as an extraordinary gift for those who appreciate the intersection of fine spirits and fine art.

"A spirit that transcends boundaries, crafted with intention, aged with patience, and presented with pride."

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
