Nosotros Madera Tequila Añejo 750ML is an ultra-premium tequila aged in white oak barrels for 21 months, creating a unique sipping experience. With a 40% ABV and made from 100% mature Blue Weber agaves, this tequila celebrates age and the fragility of time.

The Madera collection draws on the signature Nosotros tequila blend of highland and lowland agave, creating a tequila that features a dry fruit and light butterscotch nose with a balanced cinnamon-toffee finish. In addition, each bottle of Madera includes a unique batch number and is presented in an engraved box, making it the perfect addition to any tequila fan's collection.

Madera is a sipping tequila best enjoyed in a tulip-shaped glass, which will concentrate the aromas if taken neat, or a lowball glass with a single rock of ice. It pairs well with rich meats like ribeye, duck, or beef ribs and dark chocolate, aged cheese, barbecue, and nuts - especially pecans and black walnuts.

The agaves used to create Madera are sourced from the farms in Portrero Negro and Santa Teresa, where the highland and lowland agave are harvested. The tequila is aged using a blend of pipe and barrel style aging, guided by the hands of Maestra Tequillera Citlali Ovalde, one of the first and only female master distillers in Jalisco.

Nosotros Madera Tequila Añejo is a true work of art, a celebration of time and the care and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle. Its unique flavor profile, elegant presentation, and attention to detail make it a must-try for anyone who appreciates the finer things in life.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
