Mi Casa Very Small Batch Reposado (RVSB-001)
127 Days Aged | An Exclusive 8-Barrel Release
Discover the delicate intersection of vibrant agave and subtle oak with Mi Casa RVSB-001. This "Very Small Batch" release represents the pinnacle of our estate’s precision, consisting of only eight hand-selected barrels.
Aged for exactly 127 days, this Reposado is a study in restraint. While many tequilas are left to sit until the wood dominates the spirit, RVSB-001 is pulled at the precise moment the influence of the barrel enhances, rather than masks, the iron-rich terroir of our Michoacán highland agave. It is a fleeting, "Goldilocks" expression of the land, captured at the perfect degree of maturity.
The Small Batch Distinction
Limited Yield: With only eight barrels in existence, this batch is a rare snapshot of a specific harvest and a unique window of time.
The 127-Day Rest: This brief but impactful aging process softens the "still strength" edges, introducing a silken texture while preserving the 32%–42% brix sweetness of our fully mature agave.
Terroir-Forward: The mineral-heavy clay soils of Churintzio remain the star, accented by the soft spice of toasted oak.
Tasting Notes
- Appearance: A pale, shimmering straw gold. Exceptionally bright with high clarity.
- Nose: An elegant balance of cooked agave and light floral notes. As it breathes, it reveals whispers of honeyed almond, fresh vanilla bean, and a touch of nutmeg.
- Palate: The entry is soft and buttery. The rugged mineral backbone of our Blanco is present but rounded out by flavors of crème brûlée, poached pear, and a delicate wood spice that dances on the tongue.
- Finish: Medium-long and sophisticated. It leaves a clean, dry warmth with a final hint of cinnamon and caramelized agave.
A rare moment in time, bottled.
Once these eight barrels are gone, this specific profile will never be replicated.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?
Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.
Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.
One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.
Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.
In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
