Mi Casa Still Strength Blanco:

Raw, Unfiltered, and Unapologetic

Experience the purest expression of the Michoacán highlands. Mi Casa Still Strength Blanco is tequila in its most primal, potent form. Bottled at a formidable 54% Alc/Vol (108 Proof), this is the liquid exactly as it leaves the copper pot still, untouched by dilution and pulsing with the vibrant energy of the earth.

Crafted from our single-estate agave in the iron-rich soils of Churintzio, this high-proof Blanco is a celebration of terroir. Because we do not add water to bring the proof down, every drop retains the maximum concentration of essential oils, esters, and mineral complexity that define our family’s plantation.

The Purity of the Harvest

The Strength: At 54% Alc/Vol, this tequila offers an explosive flavor profile and a viscous, silky mouthfeel that lower-proof spirits simply cannot replicate.

The Sugar: Only agave with a brix content of 32%–42% is selected, providing the structural backbone needed to balance the high alcohol content.

The Source: Single-estate, 100% Blue Weber agave, deep well water, and yeast. Nothing else is added, ensuring a "Still Strength" experience that is as honest as the land itself.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Brilliant and shimmering; it coats the glass with slow, heavy tears, signaling the high concentration of agave oils.
  • Nose: Intense and aromatic. Concentrated aromas of roasted agave and scorched earth are layered with wild mint, lime peel, and a savory, briny minerality.
  • Palate: A controlled explosion of flavor. The initial heat is quickly met by a massive wave of cooked agave sweetness, followed by complex notes of anise, black pepper, and wet slate. It is rich, oily, and deeply textured.
  • Finish: Epic and enduring. The 54% ABV provides a resounding, warm finish that echoes with herbal spice, citrus oils, and the distinct "iron" signature of our Michoacán soil.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
