Gozona Madrecuishe is an exceptional expression of traditional agave spirit craft, distilled from the wild-harvested Agave karwinskii variety known as Madrecuishe. This resilient agave, often growing with a distinctive tall, cylindrical trunk, is meticulously cooked in an underground oven, crushed by a tahona, naturally fermented, and double-distilled to capture its uniquely complex and earthy character. A true taste of Oaxaca's high-altitude terroir and artisanal tradition.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: A complex and inviting nose opens with fresh green herbs and a hint of pine nut, backed by the subtle sweetness of roasted red apple and caramelized yam. Underlying notes of wet stone and a delicate floral essence add depth.
