Tequila Blanco Criollo is a limited-edition expression crafted by French biochemist and master distiller Sophie Decobecq in the highlands of Jalisco. This unique tequila is made exclusively from "Criollo" agave plants, a smaller, more intensely flavored variant of the Blue Weber agave, known for its high concentration of natural sugars. The meticulous production process, from slow-cooking the agave in stainless steel ovens to double distillation, results in a high-proof, additive-free spirit that is both elegant and powerfully expressive of the agave's character.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: The aroma is a vibrant bouquet of sweet cooked agave, complemented by bright notes of citrus, fresh mint, and a hint of white pepper. Subtle floral and earthy undertones add to its complexity.
