Azulejos Masterpiece Ultra Premium Reposado Tequila
Where Artistry Meets Agave: A Reposado of Unrivaled Character.
Azulejos Masterpiece Ultra Premium Reposado Tequila is more than just a spirit; it's a meticulously crafted experience, encased in a bottle that is a true work of art. Each bottle in the Masterpiece Collection is hand-painted by skilled Mexican artisans in Puebla, drawing inspiration from iconic art movements, making every decanter a unique and collectible treasure. Inside, you'll discover a tequila that perfectly marries the vibrant freshness of agave with the elegant complexities of oak aging. Made from 100% blue Weber agave, this Reposado is slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens and double-distilled. It is then carefully rested in American oak (often Bourbon) barrels for 4 to 6 months. The result is an ultra-smooth, balanced tequila that has garnered accolades, including a Double-Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Tasting Notes:
- Appearance: A beautiful, radiant golden hue, inviting you to explore its depths. Nose: An alluring bouquet of sweet, cooked agave takes center stage, gracefully intertwined with warm notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of cinnamon. There's a subtle freshness, almost like green vegetation, that provides an intriguing counterpoint to the barrel influence.
- Palate: The first sip reveals a remarkably soft and buttery smoothness. The natural sweetness of the agave is pronounced, quickly followed by layers of sweet oak, creamy vanilla, and a gentle spice that tickles the palate. Hints of dried fruit and a touch of caramel add to its sophisticated profile, maintaining the agave's integrity throughout.
- Finish: A long, sweet, and incredibly smooth finish that lingers beautifully. The notes of agave and vanilla persist, accompanied by a subtle vegetal quality and a pleasant warmth. It's a clean and satisfying departure that truly showcases the harmonious blend of agave and oak.
Azulejos Masterpiece Ultra Premium Reposado Tequila is a testament to tradition, artistry, and exceptional quality. It's designed to be savored neat, allowing its intricate flavors to unfold, or to elevate your finest tequila cocktails.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?
Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.
Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.
One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.
Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.
In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
