Azul Force Tequila Blanco

Azul Force Tequila Blanco is a pure expression of 100 percent Blue Weber Agave, carefully crafted as an unaged spirit to highlight its authentic essence. This exceptional tequila originates from Tonaya, within Mexico's Jalisco region, where volcanic soils impart distinctive qualities to the estate-grown agave.

The producer, Agaves Selectos Corona (NOM 1615), masterfully blends traditional practices with modern production techniques. Natural fermentation with ambient wild yeasts adds complexity, while modern autoclave cooking and column still distillation ensure a remarkably clean spirit. The result is a notable Blanco tequila, celebrated for its purity and integrated profile that truly reflects its unique Jalisco provenance and profound, terroir-driven character.

Tasting Notes

  • Appearance: Crystal clear, bright, and luminous with excellent clarity and heavy legs that cling gracefully to the glass.
  • Aroma: Crisp, vibrant aromas of fresh-cut raw agave, green apple, and bright citrus zest. Subtle layers of wet stone, earth, and a delicate floral undertone emerge as the spirit breathes.
  • Palate: Clean, smooth, and full-bodied. The entry is marked by a natural agave sweetness, closely followed by a burst of lime peel, white pepper, and a distinct mineral quality reminiscent of rain on warm volcanic rock.
  • Finish: Medium to long, crisp, and beautifully balanced. It leaves behind a lingering warmth with clean notes of herbal spice, peppermint, and a final echo of sweet cooked agave.

PM Spirits is the brand creator and the project's driving force.

After years of curating and importing, the PM Spirits team launched PM Projects to build an affordable, high-quality, cocktail-forward blanco from the ground up. They partner directly with the physical distillery, Agaves Selectos Corona (NOM 1615) in Tonaya, Jalisco, to oversee every production choice and ensure it hits the exact style they envisioned.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?

Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.

Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.

One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.

Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.

In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
