Fresco77 Contemporary Mexican Gin
Fresco77 is a vibrant and modern take on the classic "London Dry" style, infused with the sun-drenched flavors of Mexico. Produced in meticulously small batches, this contemporary gin is a celebration of fresh, local botanicals and artisanal craftsmanship.
Fresco77 achieves its remarkable flavor profile through the infusion of six carefully selected ingredients during the distillation process: Mexican prickly pear, warming cardamom, and the bright, fresh zests of grapefruit, orange, and Colima lime.3 This harmonious blend of traditional juniper backbone and bold Mexican citrus creates a gin that is exceptionally bright, balanced, and unmistakably unique. It's the perfect spirit to elevate a classic G&T or to inspire innovative, citrus-forward cocktails.
Tasting Notes
Contemporary "London Dry" Mexican Gin Botanicals: Juniper, Mexican Prickly Pear, Cardamom, Grapefruit Zest, Orange Zest, Colima Lime Zest
- Nose: A lively and immediate burst of fresh citrus, dominated by the aromatic oils of grapefruit and lime. This is swiftly followed by a subtle, sweet fruitiness from the prickly pear and a warming hint of cardamom spice. The traditional juniper note anchors the aroma but takes a gentle backseat to the brighter elements.
- Palate: Offers a light, crisp start, immediately showcasing vibrant citrus and fruit notes. The sweet and slightly earthy prickly pear creates a velvety texture, beautifully balanced by the classic pine of juniper. The mid-palate introduces a slightly spicy warmth from the cardamom, adding complexity.
- Finish: Medium-long and refreshing, leaving a pleasant, zesty citrus tang and that distinctive, slightly spicy warmth. It retains a remarkable Mexican flavor profile that invites another sip.

What is the difference between Tequila & Mezcal?
Tequila is a type of mezcal, much like how scotch and bourbon are types of whiskey.
Tequila and mezcal are both types of agave-based spirits that are popular in Mexico, but there are some key differences between the two. Tequila is made exclusively from the blue agave plant, which is primarily grown in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, about 40 miles northwest of Guadalajara. Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from any type of agave plant, and is often made using traditional, labor-intensive methods.
One of the most noticeable differences between tequila and mezcal is their flavor. Tequila is typically smooth and subtle, with hints of fruit and spices, while mezcal has a more complex, smoky flavor that comes from the roasting of the agave hearts before they are fermented and distilled.
Another difference between the two spirits is their production process. Tequila is typically made using modern industrial methods, while mezcal is often produced using traditional techniques that have been passed down for generations. This can give mezcal a more authentic, artisanal character.
In general, tequila is considered to be a more refined and sophisticated spirit, while mezcal is often viewed as a more rustic and traditional drink. Both are popular in Mexico and are enjoyed around the world, so the best way to decide which one you like is to try them both and see which one suits your tastes.
